👼 An Angel Visitation
(from the series “My Mystical, Magical Life”)
I was 25 years old when I had my first angel visitation. I was deeply curious about spirituality, but still learning what was possible. I had just finished reading Dancing in the Light by Shirley MacLaine — one of the first metaphysical books I’d ever picked up.
In the final scene, Shirley lies under the stars in New Mexico and asks Spirit,
“Show me something I need to know.”
And Spirit does.
As I closed the book that night, I whispered to myself, “I want that to happen for me.”
Before falling asleep, I repeated Shirley’s words with all the sincerity of a seeker whose heart is wide open:
“Show me something I need to know.”
🌟 The Golden Light of My Angel Visitation
Darkness wrapped the room as I drifted off… and then suddenly, a golden light appeared in the corner.
It grew brighter — becoming the unmistakable shape of an Angel, radiant and peaceful.
In a voice that was both gentle and absolute, the Angel said:
“Your mother is going to die tomorrow.”
My entire body jolted awake. I shot upright in bed, terrified and trembling. I woke my husband, who tried to calm me down, assuring me it was just a dream.
But I knew.
It was not a dream.
Eventually, sleep pulled me back under, but the words echoed through me like a bell still ringing.
☎️ The Phone Call
The next morning, everything seemed normal — or so I tried to convince myself. I went into the office to start my day and was getting ready to take a new employee out to meet clients.
But something kept nagging at me.
A tug. A weight.
A whisper that would not stop.
I hesitated, delaying for reasons I couldn’t explain. And just as I finally said, “Let’s go,” the phone rang.
“Janet, it’s your sister,” the office manager said.
I picked up the phone.
Her voice was urgent and breaking:
“If you want to see Mom alive, you’d better come right now. She’s dying.”
The words from my Angel visitation slammed into me like a tidal wave. My knees nearly gave out.
The message had been real.
The warning was true.
Spirit had prepared me for this moment.
🌙 A Final Goodbye
We rushed to the hospital.
My mother was already in a coma when I arrived.
I held her hand, unsure if she could feel me there… but I hoped she could.
Later that day, she slipped from this world to the next.
That night, I didn’t sleep.
I just stared into the dark, haunted by the miracle and mystery of what had happened during my angel visitation. I was both in awe and frightened out of my skin! I had children and a husband; did I really want to know if something was going to happen to them? If I did know ahead of time, would it change anything? So many questions and fears swirled around in my head!
✨ A Love Stronger Than Death
This experience changed me.
It taught me that Spirit will always find a way to reach us when we need guidance the most — even when the truth is painful.
It taught me that love is not limited to this physical world.
That angels and angel visitations are real.
That intuition is sacred.
That we don’t walk through life alone.
And it taught me something else…
When you ask Spirit to “show me something I need to know,”
Spirit will answer.
